I met Jerome and Whitney at a gorgeous winery in Northern Oregon during their fall engagement session. They flew ALL the way from Chicago! They had me laughing the entire session. Engagements are my favorite because I get to really spend one on one time with my couples before the big day. After leaving my time with these two, I was already looking forward to their wedding day. Fast forward to their wedding day, and my jaw dropped as I arrived to their venue. It was one I hadn’t been to before, so I was really excited to see it! Beacon Hill Winery is to die for. Vineyards as far as the eye can see, gorgeous buildings and the prettiest lawns, trees, and gardens. Whitney outdid herself with planning this wedding all the way from Chicago. There were wooden crossback chairs all in perfect rows at the ceremony site, long stained wooden tables at the reception area, all adorned with greens and florals… so basically, I was in photographer heaven! And if the stunning location and details weren’t enough, Jerome and Whitney were the most amazing bride and groom and all of their guests, who traveled from near and far, showered them with love! Such a blessed day!

As a photographer I always talk about my amazing clients… simply because they are truly amazing and I am SO blessed and honored when they choose me as their photographer. Well, this particular family has blessed me beyond words. Not only have I enjoyed every sweet session with them and watching those two ADORABLE littles grow, but Denise (the stunning mama in these photos) has become such a cherished friend of mine. It’s amazing how the Lord causes people to enter into our lives at the most critical of times. Denise has brought sweet gifts to my work and to our shoots, which means more to me than I could possibly write.. not just because of the gift itself but because she thought of me and went out of her way to bless my day. It’s amazing how something small can mean so very much to someone. She also went out of her way to reach out and make sure I was ok when I was walking through a difficult season. I’m just speechless sometimes during these Journal entires.. how on earth is this my JOB?! I love the artistry in film photography and I love the way I am invited into people’s lives to capture moments, but one of the things I love most is the precious friendships.

I hope you enjoy this light and airy family session with cute chubby baby thighs, smiles and cuddles for days, and a fun little cake smash at the end!

I am LOVING putting together these Journal entries.. it’s like getting to relive each amazing wedding all over again! This stylish boho wedding was smiles all around! I was in love with the unique details surrounding this day, including Allison’s stunning two piece wedding dress, the most gorgeous fall florals, and the cutest guest favors! This wedding was extra special because I actually photographed Allison’s senior photos a few years before, and getting to witness her marry the love of her life was more than I ever could have asked for. The ceremony was stunning. It overlooked the gorgeous Rogue Valley mountains. It also turned into a worship service which was truly the most beautiful thing I’ve ever witnessed. I remember just sitting there, camera in hand, and looking around as the everyone joined hands and lifted songs of praise up to our savior. I don’t even have words. It was perfect.

Thank you Nick and Allison for blessing me with the opportunity to be a part of your wedding day. I walked away humbled and grateful to have people like you in my life.

I could gush on and on about this wedding, this couple, EVERYTHING! I first met Whitney at a coffee shop. She had spoken with a number of photographers, but had just heard about me and we decided to meet up for coffee and to chat. I heard about the other amazing photographers she had already talked to, so quite honestly, I wasn’t so sure I would book this one! However, when we got to talking we got on the subject of film. Whitney didn’t know that I shot mostly film, and I think that’s what we bonded over most! I am blessed by so many amazing brides, and they are ALL my favorites for different reasons, but one of the reasons this particular bride and her wedding meant so much to me is because she truly valued film, which is something so near and dear to my heart. Most of my clients know that they like the “look” of my photos, but don’t realize that film is a big part of that. I loved that Whitney understood the beauty in film and valued it.

We had an amazing time at their engagement session, and I could just tell that not only was this the sweetest couple ever but their style was SO impeccable. Fast forward to to their lovely September wedding, and it did not disappoint. This is a wedding I will ALWAYS cherish. There were beautiful dusty pink details and greens as far as the eye could see, Whitney was an absolute vision in her Morilee gown, and her and Augey were showered with love from their amazing friends and family all day long. This wedding goes down in the books as one of my absolute favorites for so many reasons.

Photographers always talk about their “dream clients”… Whitney and Augey, you were just that to me! Thank you for inviting me to capture and be a part of such an amazing and special day. Can’t wait to see more adventures unfold for you both!

This family is so incredibly special to me! I have done more sessions with them than I can count, and it just gets sweeter each time. Watching these girls grow and seeing Cody and Kaylie add a sweet baby boy to their family… THIS is why I love my job. This session was full of giggles, warm sunshine rays, tall grass, and beautiful photographs and I enjoyed every second of it! Can’t wait to share some more amazing sessions with this family in the coming months!
